Our cellar master - Frank Schumacher
Since 1714, over 10 generations, the Schumacher-Knepper winery , located in the middle of the southern Moselle valley in the municipality of Schengen, at the foot of the magnificent Wintringer Felsberg , has passed on the knowledge and tradition of winemaking. The family business is one of the oldest wineries with the designation of origin "Moselle Luxembourgeoise".
Frank Schumacher (qualified oenologist) and his sister Martine (qualified business economist) have been running the family business together since 2003.
From his vocation for the vineyard and wine, Frank creates wines and sparkling wines of high quality every year.
We are happy to be able to entrust our grapes to such a gifted cellar master and friend.
To guarantee the best quality, Frank demands a traditional, purely manual grape harvest.
In the cellar, he combines traditional wine processing methods with the latest technology to produce varietal-specific top products:
gentle grape processing
cooled fermentation in stainless steel tanks
long yeast storage
